PE Global is currently recruiting for a Hardware Electronics Engineer (for Production) to join our technology client based in Cambourne. The role is an initial 12-month contract, working on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 4 days per week onsite.

This position is a key part of the Engineering department that is responsible for multidisciplinary products NPI to production line and support for the entire Product Life Cycle closely with R&D.

The position involves extensive communication with local and worldwide R&D departments, CMOs, Manufacturer and supplier, parties in operation, subcontractors, production floors, and others.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the HW change on new and legacy products (EOL, Layout update…)
  • Lead DFx and NPI procedures for new products
  • Lead failure analysis and reliability testing on all critical aspects of product design
  • Work as component engineer for new and existing products
  • Support projects and teams to ensure the design of new and existing products meet quality and reliability and apply validation tests to ensure products meet company standards
  • Publish effectively report results to peers and management
  • Lead compliance Safety and Radio
  • Lead the electronic engineering work during the NPI and legacy products.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering or similar
  • Deep understanding of electronic design and DFM – must
  • Understanding multidisciplinary products design
  • At least 5 years of experience with worldwide compliance / regulations – must
  • Knowledge in electronics components, PCB and PCBA design and assembly process, batteries, radio frequency (RF), IR, testing methods, and knowledge in ATE (Automatic Test Equipment)
  • At least 5 years of experience in board design with Altium or OrCAD - Advantage
  • Communication skills verbal, written, and presentation skills in both Hebrew & English is must.
  • Experience in matrixed worldwide organization and ability to work well in a team environment including cross-culture.
  • Self-motivated and organized.
  • Ability and willingness for hands‑on assignments
  • Strong hands‑on expertise with hardware systems, embedded interfaces, networks, instrumentation, debugging, and system‑level integration.
  • Problem solver with “hands‑on” approach.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Good knowledge with SQA and Labview tools
  • Experience with RF communication and connected (smart) products
  • Experience of working in complex multidisciplinary projects that requires a high level of technical know-how
  • Experience working with subcontractors, external vendors, CMO production teams, and procurement processes for tester or prototype parts.
