PE Global is currently recruiting for an experienced CAD Engineer to join a leading global healthcare organisation on a 6-month contract basis. This role will support a key engineering data migration project involving the transfer of CAD and product lifecycle data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the cleansing, validation, and migration of engineering data from PDM into Siemens Teamcenter PLM
- Work with SolidWorks and the SWIM interface to facilitate accurate and efficient data transfer
- Review CAD files, metadata, part structures, and associated technical documentation
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies prior to migration
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and PLM stakeholders throughout the migration process
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and validate migrated records
- Ensure compliance with company standards, naming conventions, and documentation requirements
- Maintain accurate records of migration progress, issues, and resolutions
Required Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience in a CAD Engineer, CAD Administrator, or similar technical engineering role
- Strong understanding of PDM and PLM systems
- Hands-on experience with Siemens Teamcenter and SolidWorks
- Previous involvement in data cleansing, data migration, or system transition projects
- Understanding of CAD file structures, metadata, and product lifecycle processes
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large technical datasets
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Qualifications:
- Degree or higher education qualification in Engineering, Design, or a related discipline preferred
- Apprenticeship qualifications and equivalent practical experience will also be considered
- NVQ/BTEC qualifications accepted
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Strong written English skills
