Our client is a leading international engineering and construction contractor delivering large-scale mission-critical projects across the UK and Europe.
Due to continued growth and the commencement of a major hyperscale data centre development in Blyth, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join their project team on a permanent basis.

The Role
Reporting to the Electrical Construction Manager, the Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day electrical installation activities on site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
You will coordinate subcontractors and site teams, monitor progress against programme milestones, and ensure compliance with all health, safety and quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate electrical installation works on site.
- Manage electrical subcontractors and direct labour teams.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, drawings and programme requirements.
- Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture across the project.
- Conduct daily site inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Monitor workforce productivity and progress against programme targets.
- Coordinate materials, plant and equipment requirements.
- Identify and resolve technical and construction issues as they arise.
- Liaise with project management, engineering and quality teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Ensure all installation works meet required quality standards.
- Assist with testing, commissioning and project handover activities.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports and progress updates.
- Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in an Electrical Supervisor, Electrical Foreman or Chargehand position.
- Trade qualified Electrician with relevant electrical certification.
- Strong background delivering electrical installations on large construction projects.
- Experience supervising subcontractors and site-based electrical teams.
- Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and site practices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Proactive approach to problem solving and team leadership.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience on data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, manufacturing or large-scale commercial construction projects.
- SSSTS, SMSTS or equivalent supervisory qualification.
- Experience working for an M&E contractor.
- Testing and commissioning exposure.
- Knowledge of LV electrical systems and associated installations.
