Trust Nurse Services is seeking motivated and forward-thinking Registered Theatre nurses to work agency shifts. We are looking for proactive and dedicated Registered Theatre nurses to support our NHS clients in West London. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the ability to communicate effectively with patients and others and the ability to create a safe and supportive environment for patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing care for patients before, during, and after surgery, and working with the surgical team to establish post-surgery care.
  • Sterilising the operating room and equipment, stocking the room with supplies, and ensuring a sterile environment.
  • Assisting surgeons during procedures, passing instruments to them, and facilitating communication with the surgical team.
  • Monitoring patients’ vital signs during procedures.
  • Cleaning the operating room after surgery and disposing of medical waste.
  • Supporting patients through the preoperative phase of an operation, where you will be helping to carry out assessments.
  • Monitoring the well-being of the patient after surgery and offering further care and support going forward.

Experience:

  • 6 months of experience working at a relevant level within the community in the UK.
  • Has a full UK driving license and access to an insured car daily.
  • Effective communication skills, written, verbal and non-verbal, with the ability to adapt communication for individuals with communication difficulties.
  • Able to make clinically reasoned judgements when working with a variety of conditions.
  • Able to work autonomously, and have the ability to know when to seek appropriate advice/guidance from senior staff.
  • Effective time management and caseload management.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of clinical outcomes measures and clinical audit.
  • Management of long-term conditions and palliative care.
  • Aware of safeguarding adults.
