PE Global is recruiting an assembler for our oil & gas client based in Montrose, Scotland. The role is an initial 12-month contract. The rate for this role is £16/h PAYE.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, procedures, and instructions
  • Identify components and use appropriate hand tools and assembly equipment
  • Assemble oilfield completion products and tool assemblies accurately
  • Test assembled products and ensure functionality
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with products and assemblies
  • Record labour transactions and document work in company systems
  • Perform daily 5S activities and support lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on machines using checklists
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Wear required PPE at all times
  • Complete mandatory safety training (e.g., crane, forklift, fire safety, first aid, hazardous materials, etc.)

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Basic to intermediate soldering skills (preferred), including:
  • Tinning
  • Splicing
  • Jenkin spring
  • Turret soldering
  • Crimping
  • Understanding of soldering materials (solder and flux theory)
  • Ability to select appropriate tools, solder types, and fixtures
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • This is a hands-on role in a production environment
  • Candidates must be safety-conscious and willing to complete required training
  • Flexibility for overtime is a plus
