PE Global is recruiting an assembler for our oil & gas client based in Montrose, Scotland. The role is an initial 12-month contract. The rate for this role is £16/h PAYE.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, procedures, and instructions
- Identify components and use appropriate hand tools and assembly equipment
- Assemble oilfield completion products and tool assemblies accurately
- Test assembled products and ensure functionality
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with products and assemblies
- Record labour transactions and document work in company systems
- Perform daily 5S activities and support lean manufacturing initiatives
- Conduct preventative maintenance on machines using checklists
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies
- Wear required PPE at all times
- Complete mandatory safety training (e.g., crane, forklift, fire safety, first aid, hazardous materials, etc.)
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Basic to intermediate soldering skills (preferred), including:
- Tinning
- Splicing
- Jenkin spring
- Turret soldering
- Crimping
