PE Global is recruiting a Maintenance Technician for our manufacturing client based in Aycliffe. The role is a 6-month contract and the rate is Β£22.84 p/h.

Shift: 3 shift rotation.

  • 6am-12pm / 2pm – 10pm / 10pm – 6am (Monday – Thursday)
  • 6am – 12pm / 12pm – 6pm / 6pm – Midnight (Friday)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure equipment and facility systems operate safely and reliably
  • Minimise downtime through preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical or technical issues efficiently
  • Support continuous improvement of equipment performance
  • Maintain compliance with safety and operational standards

Requirements

  • Attending machine breakdowns and carrying out planned maintenance activities
  • Problem solving, Safety Awareness/adherence to safety procedures
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance skills
  • Mechanical repair and troubleshooting
  • Electrical systems knowledge (motors, circuits, sensors)
  • PLC basics and understanding of control systems

Education

  • NVQ level 3, ONC
