PE Global is recruiting on behalf of a leading global engineering and technology organisation for a Logistics Coordinator to join their Supply Chain team in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria.

Contract Details

  • Location: Barrow in Furness, Cumbria
  • Contract Duration: Initial 6-month contract
  • Rate: £20–£28 per hour
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 15:45
  • Friday: 07:00 – 11:30
  • Overtime: Available and paid at enhanced rates: 1.5x standard rate for weekdays and Saturdays, 2.0x standard rate for Sundays and public holidays

The Role

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting logistics and supply chain activities, ensuring the accurate processing of shipping documentation, maintaining SAP records, and coordinating effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage delivery documentation, including delivery notes, commercial invoices, and shipping paperwork.
  • Process and maintain logistics data within SAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance with business processes.
  • Coordinate closely with Quality, Logistics, Warehouse, and Project Management teams to support operational requirements.
  • Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely dispatch and delivery.
  • Maintain accurate logistics records, reports, and documentation.
  • Prepare, analyse, and manage logistics data using Microsoft Excel.
  • Liaise with customers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to resolve logistics-related queries.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain function.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a logistics, supply chain, or administrative support role.
  • Strong SAP experience, ideally within MM, SD, or related logistics modules.
  • Experience generating and processing delivery notes, commercial invoices, and shipping documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive problem-solving approach and a collaborative working style.
