PE Global are currently recruiting for a Microbiologist (Junior Team Leader) to join a leading CRO supporting the pharmaceutical industry, based in Wokingham. The contract will be 6 months initially on the Thursday to Monday Pattern (including Bank Holidays and working over the Festive Period) with a strong potential to become permanent (based on performance).
Job Responsibilities
- Provide high quality customer service at all times by ensuring effective organisation of assigned workload, integrity of analytical data generated and timely/accurate provision of results.
- Perform data review of junior staff’s analyses.
- Perform a range of routine and investigative analysis using (enter techniques) independently and provide interpretation of results generated as required.
- Perform method development, transfers and design validation protocols with support.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the instrument and lab systems including checking and approving supplier’s reports (qualifications, repairs and preventative reports).
- Assist with technical aspects for client proposals for method development, transfers and validation protocols.
- Be superuser in the use of equipment software, proficient at setting up reports and troubleshooting.
- Provide training and supervise junior staff in routine activities and methods.
- Will be expected to work in different laboratories if the demand is required.
Requirements
- 3 Years + in a GMP Pharmaceutical Microbiology Environment – with testing and data review responsibilities (please make sure this is clearly evidenced on your CV).
- Will have Line management / people management experience – do 1:1’s, etc.
- Must have a technical mind in microbiology.
- Must have been a line manager of at least 1-2 people.
- Need to be able to work without supervision and be able to make decisions without a manager around.
Please note due to the role being offered on a temp-to-perm basis, we can only consider candidates who hold a British Passport or Indefinite Leave to Remain — as visa sponsorship is not available.
