A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Engineering Manager within the Dundee manufacturing site. The Electrical Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a team of Engineering resources at site to provide engineering services for the procurement, installation, and ongoing GMP and safety compliant maintenance of site equipment, facilities and utilities in an efficient and timely manner.
Reports to: Head of Engineering
Responsibilities:
- Effective Team leadership through active involvement in recruitment, training, coaching, development, and ongoing performance management.
- Managing the Engineering function on site in the absence of the Head of Engineering.
- Team perform in accordance with EHS and GMP requirements to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulations.
- Electrical competence to manage maintenance, remedial and project works effectively with hands on implementation of tasks where required.
- Lead or support manufacturing Quality and Safety related investigations and audits as required.
- Manage resources to ensure both retrospective and prospective qualification, maintenance and procurement of engineering installations.
- Oversee co-ordination of maintenance to maximise the availability of the equipment.
- Manage engineering equipment projects by liaising with senior management, equipment/process owners, suppliers and design and construction companies to fulfil the business requirements.
- Responsible site-wide for adherence to all statutory requirements and Company regulations and guidelines which affect engineering integrity.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering related discipline or equivalent engineering qualifications – full apprenticeship, with electrical competency and qualification.
- Some knowledge with problem solving on PLC’s and programming is beneficial.
- Leadership capabilities, including influencing and motivational skills.
- Several years experience of engineering / maintenance work in a regulated manufacturing / packaging environment, ideally a GMP environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and filling/packaging equipment with emphasis on process/ equipment engineering and maintenance.
- Knowledge of plant and process utility systems and HVAC.
- Demonstrated experience in project planning.
- Strong numeracy skills and ability to analyse and interpret.
- Computer literacy – ERP systems and Microsoft office.
