PE Global is currently recruiting an experienced Administrative Assistant to join a world-leading engineering and manufacturing organisation based in Desford.
Location: Desford, Leicestershire
Contract: 24 months
Hourly rate: £12.98 PAYE
The Role: As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative and organisational support, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the team. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business, coordinating schedules, travel, communications, and office activities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and manage incoming telephone calls, taking messages and responding to routine enquiries.
- Maintain team calendars, holiday schedules, and staff availability records.
- Keep organisational policies and procedure documents up to date.
- Prepare, format and distribute correspondence, presentations, reports and meeting minutes.
- Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements.
- Process expenses, assist with payments and support company charge card reconciliation.
- Arrange meetings, book meeting rooms and coordinate facilities where required.
- Manage office supplies and support general office administration activities.
- Provide administrative support to a team of professional employees while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an Administrative Assistant, Team Assistant or Office Administrator role.
- A degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence working with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Experience coordinating travel, meetings and expense administration.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build positive working relationships across teams.
- Flexibility and adaptability within a changing business environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
