We are seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager with experience in the Complex Care sector to join our growing team. This role focuses on identifying and developing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with commissioning bodies, case managers, and healthcare professionals, and expanding our client base within the complex care space. Please note candidates MUST have experience within Complex Care, Social Care or Healthcare. Please note this is not a Medical Sales role.
We’re looking for a Business Development Manager who can open doors with:
- Case managers
- Solicitors
- CHC/ICB teams
- Insurers and private clients
This is a relationship-led role – no cold calling. Credibility, professional networks, and your ability to deliver solutions matter most.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and secure new business opportunities in the complex care market, including NHS, CCGs/ICBs, private funders, and case management companies
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
- Lead on tendering processes, bid writing, and proposal development for complex care packages
- Work collaboratively with clinical and operational teams to ensure the successful onboarding of new packages
- Develop and implement strategic growth plans aligned with company goals
- Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy
- Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets/KPIs
- Proven track record in business development within the complex care, healthcare, or social care sector
- Strong understanding of complex care needs, including spinal injuries, acquired brain injuries, neurological conditions, and ventilated clients
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously
- Self‑motivated, target‑driven, and able to work independently
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as needed
- Competitive base salary
- Commission: % of gross margin on all packages brought in
- Annual bonus based on performance against KPIs
- Remote/Hybrid working.
