PE Global are currently recruiting for Cell and Pack Assembler SDRM for a permanent role with a leading multinational battery manufacturing and energy storage client based in Brunel Way, Stonehouse. The Assembler is responsible for assembling and testing Rechargeable Battery Cells and Battery Packs, and for troubleshooting and resolving issues.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, procedures and follow written and oral instructions.
- Identify components and use pertinent tools and work techniques, operate assembly equipment and tools accurately and safely.
- Follow instructions to mix batches of ingredients.
- Operate various machines involved in manufacturing cells.
- Assemble cells into a completed pack.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with products and assemblies.
- Create labour records for all transactions in the relevant business system.
- Document records of work performed in the relevant business system.
- Perform daily 5S activities and participate in lean manufacturing projects.
- Wear PPE at all times and observe health, safety and environmental policies.
- Successfully complete required safety trainings including but not limited to crane, forklift, drugs and alcohol, electrical, emergency response, fire, first aid, health and hygiene, PPE, SIPP, risk reporting, IT security, hazardous materials, driving.
- Successfully complete work based trainings.
- Assist in the development of the product.
Requirements:
- Experience of handling thin films, coating, and winding preferred.
- Basic (intermediate level preferred) level of soldering skills including awareness of solder and flux theory, and practical experience of soldering related activities such as tinning, splicing, jenkin spring, turret soldering, crimping, etc.
