We are seeking experienced and dedicated General Practitioners (GPs) to provide high-quality patient care across GP practices and Out-of-Hours services.
The successful candidate should be confident working independently in busy clinical environments and be willing to travel and work across multiple sites as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive GP and Out-of-Hours medical care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients.
- Manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions across different age groups.
- Conduct face-to-face and telephone consultations, including appropriate triage and referrals.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic patient records and clinical documentation.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with clinical systems, including Systm One, Adastra, and other GP/Out-of-Hours patient management systems.
- Prescribe medication safely and appropriately in line with relevant clinical guidelines.
- Refer patients to secondary care, emergency services, or other healthcare professionals when clinically appropriate.
- Work effectively with nurses, healthcare assistants, administrative teams, and other multidisciplinary professionals.
- Follow all applicable clinical governance, safeguarding, confidentiality, infection control, and patient safety procedures.
- Be flexible and willing to work across multiple sites, including evenings, weekends, nights, and Out-of-Hours shifts where required.
Essential Requirements
- Valid medical qualification and appropriate professional registration/licence to practise.
- Relevant experience working as a GP, preferably including GP Out-of-Hours/Urgent Care.
- Strong hands-on working knowledge of Systm One, Adastra, and similar clinical systems.
- Excellent clinical decision-making, communication, and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in fast-paced environments.
- Flexibility to travel between and work at multiple locations/sites.
- Valid right to work and completion of all relevant employment and compliance checks
