PE Global is currently recruiting for 2 Laboratory Assistants for a leading multi-national confectionery, food, holding, beverage and snack food company client based in Wokingham. This is an initial 6 month contract position until the end of 2026. PAYE pay rate for this position is 13.12 per hour. Working hours are 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Duties of the role/Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for all scientific administrative tasks including lab administration, housekeeping activities and working in accordance with laboratory-set quality standards.
  • You will demonstrate high quality customer service by ensuring that work is done on time, that the analytical data generated is reliable, and that the results are accurate and provided in a timely manner.
  • You will assist with routine checks/calibrations and control documentation to ensure that only the most current versions are supplied to analysts.
  • This role will require you to work at the highest standards of safety and quality, maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment and completing assigned quality actions in a timely manner.

Education/Experience:

  • Competency in the use of generic and specific software packages required for the role including MS Office applications.
  • Basic lab equipment experience, preferably with work experience in a scientific environment.
