PE Global are an approved supplier to the NHS via the Health Trust Europe Framework. We are pleased to be working with a mental health hospital based in Shrewsbury to support their temporary agency requirements.
The role:
Are you a caring and compassionate Heath Care Assistant looking for additional shifts, days, nights or weekends? You will be working within a mental health/learning disability hospital in the region who are looking for HCAs to pick up ad-hoc shifts to support their in-patient wards.
You must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, be punctual, reliable, highly motivated, and able to work on your own initiative, be a good team worker and be committed to providing high standards of care.
Main Duties:
- To provide support and spend therapeutic time with an allocated group of service users.
- To promote services users' wellbeing and recovery through the delivery of high quality, outcome measured care and evidence based interventions.
- To assist Registered Professionals in the implementation and evaluation of individualised care.
What you’ll need:
- A minimum of 6 months paid experience as a mental health HCA within a clinical setting.
- MAPA – restraint training is essential for this service.
- Enhanced DBS.
- Occupational health clearance.
