PE Global is currently recruiting for a CNC Operator for a leading multi-national technology provider for the global energy industry based in Barrow-in-Furness. This is an initial 6 month contract position. Pay rate is £22ph PAYE.

Duties of the role/Responsibilities:

  • Program, set, and operate CNC machines (Mazak 5-axis Lathes using G-code and M-code controls).
  • Ability to operate Manual Lathes and Gate Mill.
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, CAD data, and technical specifications.
  • Create, optimise, and edit CNC programs for efficient machining and minimal downtime.
  • Perform precision machining of components to tight tolerances.
  • Conduct tool selection, tool setting, and offsets to ensure high quality output.

Education/Experience:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist/Programmer, ideally within a precision engineering environment.
  • Experience with Mazak machines and Intergrex 200-III programming with Mazatrol Fusion 640 and SolidCAM (essential).
