PE Global Energy & Technology are seeking candidates with specialized expertise for a leading European turnkey data centre delivery partner managing Data Centre Projects in multiple European Countries for the world’s top global hyperscale tech giants and premier colocation providers. We are inviting applicants with extensive hyperscale, mission-critical, or major industrial project or construction related experience who want to be part of one of the most ambitious data centre developments currently underway in The UK/Europe.

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEP/CSA) to join their project team in Blyth, United Kingdom. This role will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of projects, ensuring costs are controlled, value is maximised, and financial delivery is achieved in line with project objectives.

  • Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of the project lifecycle
  • Prepare, review, and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
  • Lead the procurement process, including subcontractor selection, tendering, and contract negotiations
  • Manage subcontractor accounts, including valuations, variations, and final accounts
  • Monitor project costs and identify risks and opportunities to ensure financial control
  • Support and collaborate with Project Managers, Package Managers, and site teams on cost management
  • Attend Commercial Meetings, Site Meetings, and Project Reviews
  • Evaluate and process change orders and manage variations in line with contract requirements
  • Prepare and submit interim valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
  • Provide commercial advice and support to the wider project team
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management
  • Proactively identify and resolve commercial and contractual issues

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar discipline

  • Minimum 8+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role, preferably within construction
  • Strong experience managing commercial aspects of large-scale construction projects
  • Proven track record in cost control, procurement, and contract administration
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and financial management skills
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams
  • Data centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous
