A large Secondary School in Caerphilly Town Centre are currently looking for an Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Teaching Assistant to work within Special Resource Base (SRB) on a full-time basis from September 5th, 2022. This role is confirmed until July 2023, at which stage it is likely to become permanent for the right person.

You will be working with a small group of key stage 3 pupils within the Resource base. The pupils have a range of ALN, including emotional, social & behavioural difficulties (ESB) and Autism (ASD). You will benefit from working with a small team of Teaching Assistants, under a strong and supportive leadership team to include the Head of the Resource Base, ALN co‑ordinator and Headteacher.

In order to apply, you:

  • Must be available Monday to Friday (8.30am - 3pm)
  • Must have worked with children in the last 5 years
  • Have a desire to work with children with ESB & ASD
