Join us to help us grow our impact for people and the pets they love. For over a century, PDSA has provided vital veterinary care for the pets of people experiencing financial hardship. We're now on a journey to expand our reach and support even more pet owners and their beloved companions.
To achieve that ambition, we're investing in our fundraising capability and creating meaningful supporter experiences that inspire lifelong connections to our cause. We're looking for people who are excited by change, passionate about making a difference, and motivated by the opportunity to help shape the future of an organisation that exists to improve the lives of pets and the people who love them.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Philanthropy team as a Legacy Stewardship Manager, leading the development of how we engage, recognise and inspire supporters who choose to leave a gift in their Will. Shape the vision, create the strategy and build the future of legacy stewardship at PDSA. End-to-end management of the legacy supporter journey, building meaningful relationships with potential and confirmed legacy pledgers at every stage, from initial enquiry and consideration through to pledge confirmation and ongoing stewardship. Develop clear, tailored supporter pathways that ensure every individual feels valued, informed and connected to PDSA's mission, wherever they are on their legacy journey. Work closely with colleagues across Philanthropy, Legacy Marketing and Supporter Services to unlock the full potential of blended giving opportunities, creating stronger links between legacy supporters, major donors and wider philanthropic activity. Create a clear and compelling legacy stewardship strategy for PDSA. Define supporter pathways and engagement journeys for legacy enquirers, intenders and pledgers. Build a tiered stewardship approach that creates deeper supporter connections and improves retention. Strengthen collaboration across Philanthropy to maximise blended giving opportunities. Deliver inspiring supporter experiences and events that increase engagement and advocacy. Establish meaningful performance measures and insight reporting that help demonstrate supporter impact and future income potential. This role is predominantly home-based with flexibility to work remotely, alongside travel to supporter events, team meetings, pet hospitals and other PDSA locations across the UK when required.
Experience within legacy fundraising, stewardship, philanthropy or a closely related supporter engagement environment. A track record of developing end-to-end supporter journeys, stewardship programmes or relationship management strategies with the ability to engage and nurture relationships with legacy enquirers, potential pledgers and confirmed pledgers at every stage. Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage supporters through a variety of channels. The confidence to influence stakeholders and collaborate across multiple teams. A data-led approach, using insight and performance measures to inform decisions and demonstrate impact. Experience managing budgets, projects or programmes. A passion for delivering exceptional supporter experiences and creating meaningful connections with a cause.
