About you
We’re looking for a Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team at PDSA Basildon. The role requires adaptability, communication, and leadership in a busy, purpose‑led environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Nurse consultations, inpatient care, dispensing medications, and assisting in theatre, including Schedule 3 surgery.
- Delivering high standards of nursing care while keeping pets calm and owners informed.
- Championing the charity, promoting client contributions, and suggesting improvements for resource use.
- Working as part of a close‑knit team to keep hospital operations running smoothly.
Qualifications:
- Qualified and registered as a Veterinary Nurse.
- Experience with diverse veterinary cases and working in a fast‑paced clinical setting.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with clients and colleagues.
This is a full‑time, 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Working hours are Monday to Friday between 8am and 7pm, with one full weekend worked in every seven. Time off in lieu will be provided the following week.
