About you

We’re looking for a qualified Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly bank team at PDSA Bradford. If you like variety, want to keep your clinical skills sharp and are looking for flexible work that really makes a difference, this could be a great fit. As a Bank Vet at PDSA, you’ll pick up shifts that work around your life, joining a supportive team to help care for pets and owners who really need our help.

You’ll be comfortable stepping into a busy hospital and handling a wide range of medical and surgical cases, using your clinical confidence to make sound, evidence-based decisions. You’re happy discussing realistic treatment options with clients, creating clear plans that balance best practice with each owner’s circumstances, and you take a pragmatic, welfare-focused approach to doing what’s right for every pet. Strong communication skills are important, you’ll build trust quickly with clients and slot in smoothly alongside colleagues.

You’ll be a team player who enjoys working in a collaborative, supportive environment where people share knowledge and help each other out. Whether you’re topping up your hours, balancing other commitments or easing back into clinical work, you’ll be part of an experienced, caring team that values what you bring.

About the hospital

PDSA Bradford is a highly collaborative, effective hospital, a great place for teamwork, case discussion and shared learning. Our teams have varied clinical interests, giving you access to a wide pool of knowledge and experience when discussing cases and treatment plans.

Our Pet Hospitals are modern and well-equipped and include separate dog and cat kennelling facilities, in‑house radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, piped gases and extensive orthopaedic equipment.
