We are looking for an Assistant Charity Shop Manager to join our friendly team at PDSA Penarth. This role involves supporting the Shop Manager in running our shop day to day, working with volunteers to maximise profit and create a welcoming store, and representing the charity in the local community.

Role Description

  • Assist the Shop Manager in day‑to‑day shop operations
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team of volunteers to maximise profit and maintain a well‑presented store
  • Ensure excellent customer service, efficient stock rotation and strong brand messaging
  • Use financial and competitor data to spot opportunities for improvement
  • Champion the PDSA name locally, generating item and cash donations and raising awareness of the charity

Qualifications

  • Experience in the retail sector with proven track record of meeting sales targets
  • Strong understanding of outstanding customer service
  • Organised, approachable, proactive and able to coach and motivate volunteers
