We're looking for a qualified Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team at Manchester. If you thrive on variety and want to make a meaningful impact, this could be the role for you. At PDSA, no two days are ever the same; you'll see a wide range of medical and surgical cases that will challenge and develop your skills while making a real difference to pets and owners who really need our help.

You'll bring adaptability and resilience to handle a diverse caseload, along with the clinical confidence to make sound, evidence-based decisions. You're comfortable discussing realistic treatment options, creating clear plans that balance best practice with each owner's circumstances, and you take a pragmatic, welfare-focused approach to doing what's right for every pet. Excellent communication skills are key; you'll be able to build trust with clients and work positively with colleagues across the hospital. You'll be a team player who enjoys a collaborative, supportive environment where sharing knowledge and learning from one another is encouraged.

Work pattern & rota: We recognise the importance of work-life balance and have a rota designed to support it:

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm
  • Theatre shifts on a rota basis: 8:30am - 5:00pm or 10:00am - 6:30pm

Our Pet Hospitals are modern and well-equipped and include separate dog and cat kennelling facilities, in-house radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, piped gases and extensive orthopaedic equipment.
