We’re on a journey to expand our reach to support even more people and their beloved pets. In this role, you’ll be involved in every aspect of day‑to‑day hospital operations, maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment, providing hands‑on inpatient care, assisting with animal handling, supporting Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Surgeons, and helping clients at reception with empathy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and hygiene across all clinical areas, kennels, and equipment.
  • Provide hands‑on inpatient care and assist with animal handling.
  • Support Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Surgeons in all clinical activities.
  • Assist clients at reception with empathy and professionalism, including discussing appropriate financial contributions.
  • Adapt to a continental 7‑week rotating schedule, including night shifts, weekends, evenings, and daytime hours.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Awarded Veterinary Care Assistant Level 2 Diploma (or equivalent qualification).
  • Experience working within a veterinary practice.
  • Minimum age 18 or older.
  • Strong customer‑service skills and a caring, practical approach.
  • Highly self‑motivated, organised, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a supportive team.

Work Pattern & Rota

This is a continental Veterinary Care Assistant position that operates on a seven‑week rotating schedule, including full night shifts, weekends, evenings, and daytime hours.
