Are you an experienced Machine Setter Operator / Engineer ? Are you looking to expand and develop your career?

Our client is a market leading Aerospace company who have recently been acquired by the Worlds Largest Privately owned Aeronautical Manufacturer, are looking to recruit an experienced, Machine Setter Operator due to an increased work load.

The ideal candidate will be a multi-Skilled machinist, preferably with at least 5 years of related experience with manual turning / milling along with CNC programming setting and operating.

The candidate should be able to machine aluminium end magnesium castings and test bars, programme machines from customer drawings on various machines manual and CNC machines.

Reporting into the Manufacturing Manager and collaborating with an effective team of people, you will be working with some of the most prestigous aircraft manufacturers in the world.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Programme machines to customer drawing.
  • Setup and operating machines.
  • Source tooling and fixturing required for all machining operations.
  • Keep standard operating procedures / setup sheet updated.
  • Improve processes where possible.
  • Work in accordance with our Quality Control procedures.
  • Inspection of work produced.
  • Ensure daily checks are completed in line with TPM requirements.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Efficiency and organisational skills and team working skills.
  • Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement practice
  • Problem solving skills would be advantageous.

This is a full-time position, with the opportunity to start immediately.

  • Working Hours 07:30 — 16:00 Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 13:30 Friday
  • Holidays 33 days including Bank Holidays
