Overview
IMMEDIATE START AVAILABLE – TEMP TO PERM OPPORTUNITY. Our client, a leading aerospace engineering firm based in Rochester, is recruiting Production Operatives to work in their Foundry to assist in the aluminium investment casting process.
Responsibilities
- Aluminium melt preparation prior to casting
- Cleaning and preparing moulds for casting
- Pouring molten metal into the moulds (casting)
- Moving moulds following casting
- Removing the ceramic shell from the finished cast
- Reporting any issues with production machinery to team leaders
Qualifications
- High degree of physical fitness – strenuous role with high manual handling
- Experience in a manufacturing, factory, production or construction environment
- Good work ethic
- Good level of physical coordination
- Excellent time‑keeping skills
Hours of Work
Monday to Thursday 6am – 4.30pm – 40 hours per week.
Benefits
Temporary to permanent basis with 2 weeks temporary before permanent status is achieved. Weekly pay plus holiday pay; for the first 2 weeks moving to monthly pay on permanent. Optional overtime on Fridays and some Saturdays when permanent. Permanent benefits include free on‑site parking, 25 days holiday plus Bank holidays, and pension.
