Do you have previous experience in a manufacturing environment? Are you looking to train and develop in a new industry? Our client are a leading supplier of aluminium and magnesium castings for the aerospace and defence industries. They are looking for a hard working and conscientious individual to join their team on a long‑term basis.
Responsibilities:
- Filling pattern boxes with foundry sand, ensuring an even distribution throughout the mould.
- Quality checking moulds for imperfections, repairing them where possible, and rejecting and remaking those that don't.
- Following foundry techniques to accurately and efficiently assemble moulds and cores ready for the molten metal to be poured.
- Using hand and air tools to remove any rough surfaces from moulds, ensuring casting quality is maintained.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in the operation of hand tools.
- Good attention to detail.
Hours of work: Monday-Thursday (Apply online only) and Friday (Apply online only). 38 Hours. Overtime available after successful completion of probation.
Benefits: Free on‑site parking, 25 days holiday plus Bank holidays and pension.
