Our client, an established family‑run business, are looking for an experienced multi‑skilled mechanic/engineer to assist in the servicing and repair of small to mid‑sized farming/horticultural equipment.
As a Multi‑Skilled Mechanic you will join a workshop team providing service, maintenance, and repair solutions for a range of tractors, mowers, sprayers, woodchippers, forestry and stone crushing machinery as well as garden machinery.
Responsibilities
- Service, repair, and diagnose faults on agricultural machinery.
- Conduct pre‑delivery inspections and ensure machinery is ready for use.
- Use diagnostic tools.
- Collect and return equipment from clients.
- Maintain customer relationships.
Requirements
- Experience in agricultural/horticultural machinery repair (e.g. tractors, self‑propelled mowers, chippers, and chainsaws).
- Strong mechanical background.
- Strong communication and IT skills.
- Own hand tools.
- Driving licence – and vehicle to access semi‑rural location and to collect/return machinery to client sites.
Hours of Work
- Monday‑Friday 8am‑5pm.
- Optional overtime on Saturday to meet business needs.
