Our client, a leading engineering firm based in Kent, are looking for a motivated individual at the early stages of their machining career to join their skilled production team. As a Junior CNC Machinist you will work under the guidance of experienced machinists and engineers, assisting in manufacturing precision machined components, and gaining hands-on experience in CNC machining within a modern workshop environment. As a Junior CNC Machinist you will * Set and operate CNC lathes to produce precision components * Load programs and make basic offsets and adjustments * Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications * Measure and inspect components * Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards * Carry out basic machine maintenance and housekeeping As a Junior CNC Machinist, you will need: * Basic experience or training in CNC machining, with a focus on turning * Understanding of CNC controls, ideally Fanuc but training will be provided * Ability to read technical drawings * Willingness to learn and develop machining skills * Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic * Relevant apprenticeship, college qualification, or on-the-job experience Hours of work are, Monday-Thursday (Apply online only) and Friday (Apply online only). 38 Hours per week Benefits include free on-site parking, 25 days holiday plus Bank holidays and pension.
