Lead problem-solving initiatives to address urgent production line issues, prevent disruptions and foster continuous improvement across diverse product lines. Perform thorough root cause analysis to inform decisions on corrective actions. Adapt to shifting priorities, effectively managing multiple projects concurrently to maintain production efficiency.
Train interns and new team members, fostering a positive and quality-focused work environment. Conduct internal audits compliant with ISO13485 and 21 CFR parts 11 & 820 gaining a holistic understanding of cross-departmental functions.
Communicate with all departments to share expertise and effectively resolve issues while maintaining positive relationships.
Investigation work and large projects:
- Investigate and correct supplier issue with needle valve parts by clarifying tolerances and adding specific instructions for manufacture.
- Validated removal process of glass beads from connector blocks after raising this as an issue (glass can react with sevoflurane agent to form hydrofluoric acid).
- Identify the incorrect grade of clinch nut used on a sheet metal part causing the nuts to fall out occasionally. Instigated a drawing update to state the correct grade for future.
- Resolve complaint of poor label adhesion by implementing an isopropanol cleaning process and changing adhesive to 300 LSE.
- Plan and implement a new line of products (approx. 25 new products).
- Rapidly implement certain parts required to fulfil a large order.
- Apply keen attention to detail to ensure quality and a seamless transition.
- Introduce veterinary configurations of two products for use in MRI environments.
- Manage multiple aspects including labelling, packaging and instruction manuals. Tie these into bills of materials and product configurators to prevent stock discrepancies and enable the new veterinary options to be easily selected.
