PD&MS Group are now looking for a Senior Structural Designer to join our team in Aberdeen or Glasgow on a full-time, on-going contract basis. We offer a flexible hybrid working model where 2 days per week can be worked remotely.

This role will involve flowline work, and we are seeking Designers with experience in brownfield pipe support design incorporating bolted connections. Candidates must be able to work in a 2D and 3D AutoCAD/Plant 3D environment and utilise ReCAP point cloud data.

  • Creates and checks engineering designs
  • Responsible for ensuring designs meet project requirements
  • Input to project plans
  • Identify areas of concern during any project or study
  • Produce cost-effective engineering solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add value
  • Ability to address operational and maintenance issues in the design and liaise with colleagues for the best solution
  • Undertake surveys, both onshore and offshore (not essential)

About You: Our ideal candidate will enjoy team working, will be customer and quality focused, can use their own initiative and will be responsive to our business and client needs. You should also enjoy coaching and mentoring others. We’d like you to have a HND in a relevant subject and previous experience in detail design with an awareness of other disciplines. You need to be competent and have an interest in working with AutoDesk design products.
