Senior Structural Designer

PD&MS Group are now looking for a Senior Structural Designer to join our team in Aberdeen or Glasgow on a full-time, on-going contract basis. We offer a flexible hybrid working model where 2 days per week can be worked remotely.

This role will involve flowline work; we are seeking Designers with experience in brownfield pipe support design incorporating bolted connections for this role. Candidates must be able to work in a 2D and 3D AutoCAD/Plant 3D environment and be able to utilise ReCAP point cloud data.

Responsibilities

• Creates and checks engineering designs
• Responsible for ensuring designs meet project requirements
• Input to project plans
• Identify areas of concern during any project or study
• Produce cost-effective engineering solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add value
• Address operational and maintenance issues in the design and liaise with colleagues for the best solution
• Undertake surveys, both onshore and offshore (not essential)

We’d like you to have a HND in a relevant subject and previous experience in detail design with an awareness of other disciplines. You need to be competent and have an interest in working with AutoDesk design products.
