Working Pattern: Permanent / Full Time
As the Principal Energy Efficiency and Industrial Decarbonisation Engineer, you will:
- Oversee safe consulting practices: Follow the objectives of the Group or project-specific Health, Safety, and Environmental Plans and lead by example.
- Ensure compliance: Maintain knowledge of and adhere to client, industry, and international standards.
- Direct and supervise Designers and Graduates within projects.
- Identify business opportunities: Contribute to and occasionally lead responses to tenders, including networking and face-to-face meetings with clients.
- Develop project plans: Create schedules for small to medium projects, and promptly inform senior colleagues of any issues that could impact project scope or delivery.
- Support training: Assist in the development of Graduate Engineers and Designers.
- Oversee project delivery: Ensure solutions are cost-effective, safe, fit for purpose, and add value to both the company and clients.
- Manage projects: Monitor progress, ensure completion within schedule and budget, produce and review documents and deliverables.
- Stay updated: Keep abreast of technical developments, standards, and legislative requirements, including Industry Codes and HSE Alerts.
- Maintain professional development: Ensure competency requirements are met in a timely manner.
- Adhere to policies: Follow the company's integrated management system, quality assurance, health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Promote safety principles: Demonstrate and promote QHSE principles, lead by example, and challenge unsafe activities.
- Lead by example: Demonstrate and promote PD&MS Group and RSK Group values in all duties.

About You
You’ll have experience in:
- Working within an engineering team in the clean technology and low carbon sectors, such as Energy from Waste, Anaerobic Digestion, or District Heating.
- Knowledge of, and compliance with, client, industry, and international standards.
- Designing for RIBA stages 0-4 in building services projects, ideally within the sectors listed above.
- Collaborative work with colleagues, clients, and contractors.
- Commercial awareness and business development skills.
