PDG Media is seeking an experienced Sales Development Representative to join the team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sales, preferably within the food & beverage sector or marketing agencies. Knowledge of the specialty coffee industry and its key players is highly advantageous. PDG Media is a specialist GTM & marketing agency operating in the F&B sector, with a focus on specialty coffee. We are launching a new initiative in 2025 called the Global Coffee Awards. This is a full-time, permanent role based in the UK, primarily remote with office days depending on the candidate's location.

The candidate should enjoy engaging with people daily, identifying business opportunities, and strategizing to close deals. Your responsibilities will include managing the pipeline for our strategic project sales, identifying target customers, establishing and nurturing opportunities, and converting leads at the appropriate time. Our current and former agency clients include brands like MTPak Coffee, Hardtank, Flo-Smart, and organizations such as Guatemalan Coffees, UKAid, and Adam Smith International. You will work closely with the COO to align with sales strategies, drive new business growth, and meet revenue targets.

The role requires excellent communication skills to understand client needs and relay this information to the team. As part of a leading coffee publishing company, your duties will include:

  • Working independently to meet revenue targets based on existing sales strategies.
  • Identifying and pursuing new sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and sponsors.
  • Reassessing and defining our ideal customer profile.
  • Negotiating renewals with current clients.
  • Coordinating with the digital projects team for project launches.
  • Upselling to clients across our portfolio.
  • Collaborating with the publishing team to ensure client needs are met.
  • Participating in regular sales meetings and providing updates to leadership.

Minimum requirements include:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a client-facing sales or account management role within the food & beverage industry or marketing agencies.
  • A proven track record of delivering high-value sales, often requiring long-term nurturing.
  • Experience with CRM management and using outreach tools like Apollo, Gong, or Instantly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience developing and executing sales strategies.
  • Experience with HubSpot, specialty coffee, lead generation tools (e.g., Clay, Snov.io, Zoominfo), and G Suite.
  • Experience working within international teams.
