Are you ready to supplement your studies with real-world experience? PDD is offering a twelve-month Industrial Design Internship in our London studio, starting in the summer. This is a fantastic opportunity for design students to gain hands‑on experience, collaborate with industry experts, and contribute to meaningful projects across the healthcare and consumer sectors.

As an integral part of our industrial design team, you’ll work on a variety of design briefs, research projects, and innovation workshops. You’ll be involved in hands‑on problem‑solving, developing innovative and visually compelling solutions both as an individual and as part of multi-disciplinary project teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Interpreting design briefs
  • Conducting research
  • Producing high-quality sketches
  • Storyboarding
  • Creating mood boards
  • Using digital tools to enhance renderings
  • Developing 2D layouts
  • Creating conceptual 3D CAD models for high-quality renderings and animations
  • Physical model‑making and workshop activities

We’re looking for passionate design students with a basic understanding of materials and manufacturing techniques, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to work independently on multiple tasks. Skills in physical model making, sustainability, branding, or UI design are a plus.
