Job Title: Group Financial Accountant
Location: Remote working in either Manchester or Newcastle
Salary: Competitive (depending on experience)
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our client at their head office in Carlisle. An industry leader in the fashion sector, we are recruiting for a Group Financial Accountant to join the finance team.
The role of Business Reporting Accountant will sit within a busy finance department reporting to the Group Financial Director.
As a valued team member, you should have experience working in a similar role, processing high volumes, working well under pressure both as part of a team and independently, with high accuracy and an organized approach.
Primary Responsibilities
- Preparation of consolidated group management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
- Preparation of management accounts, budgets, and forecasts for all non-trading companies, including holding companies and associated working papers.
- Review of all subsidiary management accounts, budgets, and forecasts to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Preparation of statutory accounts for all companies within the agreed timescales and associated working papers.
- Cash flow reporting.
- Submission of weekly bank facilities report.
- Lead liaison with external auditors for interim and year-end audits.
- Maintain and develop reporting systems based on business needs.
- Liaise with other group finance staff and support operational functions.
- Support the FD in corporate matters such as acquisitions and restructuring.
Previous Experience
- Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant.
- Expertise in group consolidations and strong financial modeling skills.
- Up-to-date knowledge of FRS 102 and accounting standards.
- Experience in producing detailed receipts and payments cash flow forecasts.
- Involvement in the annual audit process for a group of companies.
- Good working knowledge of UK tax compliance rules.
- Working knowledge of multi-currency groups.
- High proficiency in Excel.
- Able to meet agreed deadlines.
