Job Purpose: Our client is a national Facilities Management Company actively recruiting for an In Store Cleaning Manager, working within a Supermarket Retail Store. Responsible for driving operational performance in a high-profile Site, delivering excellent service and demonstrating continuous improvement in service delivery, process & engagement with both colleagues & clients. The Hygiene Manager will act as a single point of contact for all cleaning and Soft Services issues across the Site, looking after a team of up to 30 cleaners in a fast-paced and demanding distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- To demonstrate company values and lead by example at all times.
- Providing a key interface between on-site client (customer) and the contracted service providers on a day-to-day basis.
- Monitor and report on service level agreements and key performance indicators internal and external.
- Financial tracking and reporting to ensure all services are delivered within agreed budgets and service levels.
- Provide a continuous improvement review and development of initiatives to improve or rationalise services or processes to achieve optimum performance and full customer engagement.
- Ownership and management of departmental audits, statutory compliance plans to achieve and maintain legal status.
- To develop and maintain the relationship with the customer to ensure their expectations are met whilst working within defined specifications.
- Manage the performance of staff in consultation with an appropriate HR representative, taking necessary actions to develop staff or improve performance.
Our client is looking for Managers who have a proven track record of managing and motivating people in a demanding environment with management of staff, payroll, and rotas experience. They also need to be prepared to be hands-on and clean with the team as and when required.
Experience Requirements:
- FM experience across Soft Services, ideally in a retail environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience of managing a team.
- Proficient using IT / Microsoft programmes (Outlook & Excel).
- Sound knowledge of Health and Safety and COSHH legislation.
