Base Salary: Up to £44,000.00 per annum (depending on experience)

Our client, a national leader in the M&E and FM space, are seeking a Heating Engineer to install mechanical systems in plant/boiler rooms, as well as minor works. The ideal candidate will have experience with welding, live boilers & central heating systems and pipework.
Job Purpose: Our client are seeking a Mechanical fitter/Heating engineer primary responsibility will be working as part of team of in house fitters installing various mechanical systems including full plantroom fit outs and various minor works. The successful candidate will report directly to the Commercial Manager and play a key role in shaping the projects department to achieve fit out tasks.
Key Accountabilities:
- Installation of commercial heating, plumbing and chilled water systems
- New installations and maintenance across commercial plant and pipework systems
- Experience working with live boilers and central heating systems, as well as pipework
- Understanding of the working and operation of plumbing and heating systems
- Working off own initiative/Running own jobs as part of small team
- Experience working on steam systems advantageous but not essential
- Fitting types worked with - Press fit, Victaulic, Screwed, Brazed, Soldered, Welded, etc
- MI Steel, Stainless steel Galvanised steel, Copper etc
Experience Required:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) Heating & Ventilation
- Welding experience would be preferred
- Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Proven experience in Plantroom and Boilerhouse installations
- Commercial Gas qualifications advantageous – Testing & Purging
- Welding – Arc & Gas welding
