Our client is seeking an exceptional Commercial Director to join its Senior Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in driving the next phase of growth across its Infrastructure division.
Reporting directly to the Divisional Managing Director, this is a high-profile leadership position with responsibility for shaping commercial strategy, improving profitability, driving business growth, and ensuring successful delivery across a portfolio of major infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will operate at both strategic and operational levels - engaging with board-level clients, leading complex commercial negotiations, supporting major bids, and providing commercial leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute the commercial strategy aligned to divisional growth objectives.
- Drive revenue growth, margin improvement, and commercial performance across a £35m+ portfolio.
- Lead commercial governance, forecasting, CVR processes, risk management, and contractual compliance.
- Oversee commercial delivery from tender through to project completion.
- Build and maintain senior client relationships across key infrastructure sectors.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the commercial function, promoting a high-performance culture.
- Significant commercial leadership experience within Tier 1 Construction or Facilities Management.
- Proven responsibility for commercial performance across large-scale projects or portfolios exceeding £35m.
- Strong expertise in contract negotiation, commercial governance, risk management, and margin enhancement.
- Experience operating within Infrastructure sectors such as Transport, Defence, Energy, or similar complex environments.
- Ability to influence and build relationships at board and executive level while remaining hands-on and delivery focused.
