Salary: £35,000.00 per annum + 10% Bonus (KPI Dependant)

Included: Company Car & Fuel Card

Location: Covering sites across South West England - ideal candidate located in Bristol

Hours: 40 hours per week | Early morning start required

Shifts: Working 5 days out of 7 (business dependant) - Generally Sunday - Thursday

Days Off: Friday & Saturday but this is flexible dependant on business requirements

Our client, a national leader in soft facilities management services, are looking to recruit an Area Cleaning Manager to be responsible for cleaning operations of circa 50 retail sites.

Job Purpose: To be responsible for the supervision of cleaning technicians within their respective areas, to complete both pre and post audits alongside a periodical audit as agreed by RH. Pre audits to include photographs, detail on damage, any conditions of license, noise abatement, H&S inspections, Van audits, spot site checks whilst HLC in progress, customer liaison, Timegate, payroll.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete pre-post audits at stores
  • Complete H&S checks pre visit
  • Confirm with the customer any issues
  • If access equipment required, where is it stored
  • Conduct equipment checks on spec
  • Liaise with the customer
  • Agree schedule with support office
  • To share best practice across area.
  • To support the disciplinary procedure in accordance with HR Policy in agreement with Operations Manager and HR team up to and including dismissal
  • Check harness, RAMS, H&S documentation
  • To initiate performance management measures where these are required in conjunction with Operations Manager and HR team
  • To regularly attend customer meetings to support the ISCM and brief the customer colleagues as appropriate.
  • To meet with all GSMs or his/her nominee on regular and provide timely feedback to the Operations Manager.
  • To manage all store openings in accordance with customer policy.
  • To deliver all Services initiatives on time and in line with performance standards - and ensure all feedback requirements are met to ensure success factors can be assessed properly.
  • To comply with all Food Safety / Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • To carry out other duties as requested.
  • Effective communication with all members of the Management Team.
  • High degree of flexibility in working hours and types of jobs undertaken
  • High degree of mobility - travelling throughout the designated area providing cover for other colleagues as necessary

Candidate's background & experience:

  • Multi-site Cleaning management experience essential
  • Experience within supermarket retail operations would be desirable
  • Strong people management experience
  • Team player
  • Good communicator
  • Results driven
  • Proficient in IT in the use of Excel, Word & Email
  • Candidates need to be used to working in a fast-paced environment and for a demanding client.
  • Candidates must have a full and valid driving licence and be prepared to travel daily.
