A vacancy has arisen for a full time Transport Compliance Coordinator at PD Ports within the Transport team.

The successful candidate will assist the Transport department in meeting their requirements in Compliance to the standards of the DVSA, H&S and Training, supported by the Health & Safety Department and Learning & Development department. The role will also include supporting improvement plans for compliance, H&S and training by implement the SSOW with the operation teams, customers and drivers to suit the need of the business.

Location: Teesport, Middlesbrough
Working Arrangements: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

The five main things our Transport Compliance Coordinator will be working on are:
β€’ Support accident/incident investigations and communicate corrective action to the workforce.
β€’ Co-ordinate Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work and review annually with the Transport department.
β€’ Develop and implement driver training plans with the Transport and Learning & Development department and review new and existing processes to ensure continuous improvements are achieved, implementing processes with the operation teams, customers and drivers.
β€’ Ensure driver/depot compliance processes are followed, review and coach drivers to improve.
β€’ Develop weekly and monthly reports and present them to the Transport departments.

We are seeking someone who has:
β€’ Certificate of Professional Competence in Transport Management.
β€’ Presentation skills.
β€’ Coaching skills.
β€’ Experience of Investigation and disciplinary management.
β€’ Knowledge of Health and Safety Investigations.
