A vacancy has arisen for an experienced, time served HGV Trailer Technician at PD Ports within the Fleet Department. Location: Tees Dock, Middlesbrough, TS6 6UD.
Working Arrangements: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (7:30am – 3.30pm) Overtime available.
The five main things our Trailer Technician will be working on are:
- Completing planned 8-weekly inspections.
- Applying proven Trailer Technician expertise to maintain and repair equipment.
- Ensuring all tasks are carried out to the highest standards.
- Carry out on-site repairs as required.
- Demonstrating strong knowledge of pneumatics and electrics.
We are seeking someone who:
- Has the ability to work alone as well as in a team.
- Adheres to all health and safety policies.
- Holds a recognised qualification in HGV/trailer maintenance or equivalent experience.
- Has strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Maintains accurate service and repair records.
- Possesses a flexible approach with the ability to respond to operational needs at short notice in all weather conditions.
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and takes pride in workmanship.
- Is proactive in identifying potential faults and implementing solutions.
