A vacancy has arisen for a full time Fabricator/Welding Tradesperson at PD Ports within the Engineering department.
Location: Tees Dock, Middlesbrough, TS6 6UD
Working Arrangements: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Participation in assigned preventative maintenance programs and projects whilst ensuring all duties are completed in line with RAMS and Company Health & Safety policy.
- Involvement in the department’s routine operations by handling repairs on install of steel work all assets.
- Ensure tasks are completed and any persistent problems/underlying causes are identified and corrected wherever necessary.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure compliance with OEM and industry standards.
- Showing expertise in collaborating within a team/independently, ensuring a high level of support to colleagues and to provide relevant and accurate information to the Team Leader.
- Ensuring work orders are completed/updated in a timely manner and any issues are communicated to the Team Leader.
- Conducting any repair or maintenance work that is required, ensuring all tasks are completed within the agreed timescales and to the best of your ability.
Qualifications:
- Holds a recognised trade specific apprenticeship, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience post apprenticeship.
- Possesses 3G MMA with SFW (supplementary fillet weld) as a minimum skill level – coded welder.
- Has good technical knowledge of plant and machinery and experience in the port environment (desired but not essential).
- Shows exceptional attention to detail and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage your workload and supervise others when required.
- Can demonstrate analytical skills to be able to interrogate, analyse and evaluate previous/current manufacturing and repair information.
