A vacancy has arisen for a full time Engineering Procurement Coordinator at PD Ports within the Engineering department. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the main purpose of the role is to manage purchase requisitions, expedite deliveries and assist in the department’s day to day activities.
Location: Tees Dock, Middlesbrough, TS6 6UD
Working Arrangements: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (7:30am to 3.30pm).
The main things our Engineering Procurement Coordinator will be working on are:
- Raising and enacting all requisitions for the Engineering department for non-inventory items and services.
- Dealing with suppliers to expedite material orders, equipment and parts for both the Operational and Engineering teams.
- Administering New Supplier requests ensuring all relevant documentation is received and processed, as well as obtaining quotes for goods and services.
- Assisting Accounts Payable to resolve discrepancies with unmatched invoices and communicate with internal stakeholders and suppliers as appropriate.
- Managing term and service contract requisitions including but not limited to: Amenity, Tyre, Fuel suppliers etc.
- Welcome and assist visitors, ensuring a positive first impression, and offer refreshments as appropriate and managing incoming post and distributing it in a timely manner.
We are seeking someone who:
- Possesses excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Has great attention to detail whilst dealing with numerous requests.
- Competent in all Microsoft packages with administration skills and an understanding of procurement.
