A vacancy has arisen for three full time Deckhands/Able Seafarers at PD Ports within our Marine Team as part of the Dredger/Workboat/Buoy Service fleet.
Location: Marine Department, Middlesbrough, TS2 1LX.
Working Arrangements: 162.5 Hours per month, 12.5-hour shifts, week on/week off shift rotation (no planned nightshifts).
The five main things our Deckhands/Able Seafarerswill be working on are:
- Mooring and unmooring of vessel and navigational watch-keeping duties.
- Maintenance of deck equipment and vessel housekeeping.
- Operation of dredge equipment and assisting with bunkering and watering of vessel.
- Providing relief cover between PD fleet of vessels and providing support and resource to the OPRC function as required
- Assisting with planned maintenance items whilst always adhering to the companies H&S and environmental compliance.
We are seeking someone who:
- Hold a Navigational Watch Rating Certificate, a mandatory requirement.
- Engine Room Watch Rating Certificate (desirable).
- Holds a Eng1 Medical Certificate.
- Is a strong team player.
