Job Description
Team Leaders are responsible for controlling all Goods‑In, QC, Conversion, Software re‑flashing & Packaging processes for products throughout the UK Warehouse operations, including various kitting and special projects that arise. This covers all material handling operations from when the Product arrives in the Warehouse until it is made ready for Shipment. Products include new and second‑user electronics including cell phones, tablets, computers, and wearables. The incumbent holds responsibility for maintaining all necessary quality standards in a timely manner for the sustained success of the General operation. Process management activities must meet or exceed Company goals and objectives, including financial performance.
The incumbent is responsible for the successful processing of products on a day‑to‑day basis throughout the Warehouse, all the new and existing warehouse personnel ensuring all standard procedures are followed correctly. At the same time, support/identify/design/develop training material and coordinate the delivery of training programs to enhance operational and quality efficiencies.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily supervision & scheduling of associated personnel to process all products in a safe, secure, productive and cost‑efficient manner.
- Directs all receiving, QC, Conversion, re‑packaging of products to required standards.
- Plans team resources and activities in line with company objectives and set targets, whilst meeting the day‑to‑day demands of a fast‑moving & dynamic operation.
- Organizes operational activities and assigns responsibilities to staff according to the needs of the business.
- Generates productivity reports. Monitors and accounts for all labor hours deployed, both direct & indirect.
- Implement training and cross‑training of staff on a continual basis. Must be able to provide honest feedback on training curriculum, be able and willing to provide honest feedback on progress of all personnel being trained whilst exercising discretion and independent judgment.
- Motivates and controls all manpower resources to perform to the required standards, whilst running an efficient and effective operational department.
- Reads and analyses charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports in order to determine process requirements and evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
- Ensures that personnel comply with required H&S standards.
- Supervises all processes quickly and efficiently to ensure successful completion.
- Perform other duties as assigned and set by senior management.
Who You Are
- A minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience in a dynamic and fast‑moving warehouse environment.
- Proven track‑record of successful supervision within a high‑technology manufacturing or production business.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office software tools.
- Record of compliance and adherence to Health & Safety measures in a supervisory role.
- Security‑aware in applying surveillance skills in order to minimize risk to the business.
- Essentially strong supervisory and effective communication skills.
- High energy, personal drive and self‑motivation to accomplish business goals.
- Hands‑on person, who leads by example.
- A team‑builder who encourages the best performance from team members.
- Flexible in scheduling workload and hours to suit the needs of the business.
