PCS (UK) Ltd is a growing electrical contracting business, and we are looking to appoint a Finance Supervisor to support our Finance function with day-to-day accounting, payroll, and financial administration activities across the group. This role would suit someone with a solid accounting foundation who is looking to build further experience within a supportive, hands-on finance team.
The Role
- Reporting into the Finance Director, the Finance Supervisor will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the business, including:
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Raising and processing customer invoices and supplier payments
- Daily bank reconciliations across multiple accounts and group companies
- Supporting month-end and year-end processes, including journals, accruals and prepayments
- Maintaining intercompany balances
- Leading on monthly payroll processing and employee expenses
- Reconciling company credit card statements
- Supporting HMRC and statutory reporting requirements
- General finance administration and internal query handling
Location
This role will be primarily based at our Buxton office, with occasional travel to our Nottingham site as required to support business needs. Applicants must therefore be based within a reasonable commuting distance of both locations. Travel frequency will vary depending on operational requirements.
Hours
We are open to discussing full-time or part-time hours for the right candidate. Applications from individuals seeking school-hours or reduced-hours working patterns are welcomed. Please note that salary will be offered on a pro-rata basis where applicable.
About You
- AAT Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent experience), with practical accounting exposure
- Experience using Sage 50 or a similar accounting system
- A good working knowledge of VAT and core accounting principles
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident, professional communicator with a collaborative approach
- Able to manage multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure
