Position Summary
Magellan Aerospace, Llay Wrexham, has an exciting opportunity for a Junior CI Engineer.
- Full Time Permanent Contract
- 39 hours per week

Supports and delivers process improvement initiatives to achieve business goals, working across functions to improve quality, efficiency, reduce costs, and analyze data using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Updates data elements during change implementation, including SOPs, layouts, root cause elimination, and standard processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Safety
- Comply with EHS legislation and policies
- Maintain safe working environment and standards
- Support accident investigations and corrective actions
- Support 6S score improvements and training
Quality
- Utilize Six Sigma tools for improvement strategies
- Prepare reports, case studies, and SOPs with CI Engineers
- Support zero defects strategy to reduce non-quality costs
- Collaborate with quality department on initiatives
- Facilitate problem solving and Kaizen events
Cost
- Identify and support cost reduction initiatives
- Work with CI Engineers on measures and metrics
- Create value stream maps for strategic decisions
- Support MOS compliance
Delivery
- Implement Quick Wins and Big Ideas
- Develop process models, layouts, and project plans
- Capture lessons learned and best practices
- Apply lean methodologies and time studies to eliminate waste
People
- Align behaviors with company values
- Complete mandatory training
- Maintain knowledge of lean processes
- Support cultural change towards continuous improvement
