EA to CFO Job Description
Marcilly Recruitment is working with a globally renowned brand to recruit a high-calibre EA to CFO to be based in London. They are looking for a hardworking, highly efficient and meticulous EA who has the ability to work at a very high-level for a leading principal in their field.
Salary: £58,000 – £68,000
Benefits: bonus; healthcare; pension; 25 days holiday; brand discounts
Hours: 09:00 – 17:30 Monday to Friday in the office
Location: Mayfair, London
Start date: ideally ASAP but happy to wait a notice period
Once that relationship and trust has been established with the principal, this will be a true right-hand EA role. They are looking for a highly efficient EA to CFO who can manage an incredibly varied workload and work across all of the principal’s different day to day workstreams. They need someone who can always be two steps ahead of the principal and join the dots for him as he is always back-to-back and his time is very precious due to his global role.
The successful EA to CFO will be part of a great team in London and support network globally. You must be able to work with other assistants in other global offices. They are seeking a strong team player who can work well with other assistants to achieve the same end goal.

EA to CFO Key Responsibilities
- High level inbox management, flagging, filing and responding to responding to emails on their behalf. The principal’s inbox receives hundreds of emails a day, so the ability to determine what is and isn’t important and keep the inbox clear. Being proactive is really important to help alleviate workload
- Coordinate complex calendar, travel and meetings on a global level. The principal will travel regularly because of the global nature of the role, but it isn’t weekly. Their diary is always back-to-back and constantly changing.
- The successful EA to CFO must be able to prioritise effectively and understand the principal’s priorities
- Act as a gatekeeper to the CFO and manage their time as effectively as possible to ensure maximum efficiency
- Managing board papers and meeting packs
- Prioritise conflicting needs and handle matters expeditiously
- Proactively keep on top of the principal’s projects and workflows. The successful EA to CFO must be good at forming relationships with internal and external stakeholders, liaising, coordinating and chasing others on project / workflow progress and action points
- The ability to meet strict deadlines and keep the principal informed of progress
- Maintain highly accurate contact list and database which needs to be updated regularly Manage multiple projects as assigned by the CFO
- Work closely with the EAs of other senior leaders across the Group and the CFO’s reports globally
- Financial management and strict record keeping
- High level relationship management with high-profile internal and external stakeholders
- The ability to work within a global team, adapting to different working styles
EA to CFO Specification
- Ideally educated to degree level
- Strong experience supporting a Senior Director or C-suite member in a company with a global outlook or presence
- Longevity demonstrated in their career history. Must have a solid CV
- Good with numbers and assisting with financial matters when needed
- Understanding how to approach and work closely with Senior Directors and their EAs
- Experience of organising complex travel itineraries and meetings
- Strong levels of attention to detail at all times. Ensuring high standards are always maintained in high-pressured working environments
- Ability to work to competing deadlines and prioritise effectively
- Experience of working with a global team / clients
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask
