UI/Visual Designer
£450 per day | 6 months | Outside IR35 (TBC) Old Street, London | Hybrid working We're looking for an experienced UI Designer to join a multidisciplinary design team creating new digital experiences across consumer technology, medical technology and wellness.

This is an opportunity for someone who loves the
visual craft of interface design
and wants to work on something beyond conventional websites, dashboards and design systems.

You'll be designing across embedded devices, physical products, mobile and web applications, PC software and emerging AI-enabled interfaces.

The role
We're looking for someone who can bring genuine visual flair to digital products.

You'll explore different creative directions, develop new interface concepts and turn UX thinking into beautifully considered UI.

Rather than simply applying an existing design system, you'll have opportunities to explore
new ideas and bold ways of expressing an interface , helping establish the visual direction for new products and experiences.

You'll work alongside UX/UI leads and an established design team, collaborating closely with UX designers while bringing a stronger visual perspective to projects.

We're looking for
Around 3 -5+ years' experience in UI, Visual or Digital Product Design Excellent visual and interface design craft Advanced
Figma
skills, including components, pr ototyping, Auto Layout and working with design systems Strong typography, layout, hierarchy and composition Ability to
explore and communicate multiple creative directions
rather than simply applying an established component library Experience taking early ideas through visual exploration into
polished, production-ready UI Experience with
Adobe Creative Cloud , particularly
Illustrator and Photoshop , would be beneficial for broader visual exploration and asset creation Experience with
motion or interaction design tools
such as
After Effects, Principle, Proto Pie or similar
would be advantageous, particularly for device/interface concepts Experience with
3D design or prototyping tools
would also be useful for some projects, but isn't essential Strong understanding of UX fundamentals and how visual design supports interaction Ability to clearly present and articulate your design thinking A strong portfolio demonstrating
visual exploration, different creative routes and polished interface work Experience across
consumer electronics, connected products, embedded interfaces, Med Tech, wellness or other physical/digital experiences
would be particularly interesting, but isn't essential.

We're open to designers with backgrounds in digital product, visual design or even more creatively-led brand environments, provided your portfolio demonstrates
strong digital UI work .

This isn't primarily a dashboard or component-library role.

We're looking for someone who wants to
explore, create and push the visual treatment of new digital experiences.
